Have you heard the vibe? Everyone is so crazy about, oh no not "Umeshu" or Japanese Plum Wine but what I am gonna share with you later follow the plum wine.......
But to take into account, Japanese Plum Wine is my latest favourite after trying the best of the best at a work gathering at a quite unique Japanese restaurant at Times Square. You will know which I am talking about if you like really Japanese authentic food......
So I find this little can of Choya as my first try out at home.........and yes I tried on V day. It is not as good as what I tried but probably the little saltiness with sweetness and alcohol helps to keep away the nasty thoughts of going back to work after Chinese New Year.
I do luv the packaging and I get to keep the glass bottle afterwards =) win win?
Lately, Japanese whisky is like a trend in Hong Kong. Perhaps the heat wave has started long before last year and I am just catching up to the trend. To a certain extent that Hibiki is already traded at a very high price in Hong Kong and it is a little hard to dig up the more matured years of Japanese Whiskey.
This is the only one precious bottle some friend can find and they are like an asset with inflation.
Do I like the taste. It is definitely something different to red and white wines...... Whisky is filled with different tones and layers. Its punge is like a punch in your face when you first tried and it probably burns down your throat. But with a few sips........they are pretty much a pleasure to drink.
It is just like drinking gold.
