Brand Review: Le Labo at Star Street
September 21, 2015
With much crave over this lovely brand of frangrance over the internet, I have decided to explore this little shop down a Star Street at Wanchai. I am so happy to know there is finally a shop in Hong Kong.
This post would cover my experience over last Sunday with the shop manager Jess, who is super friendly and very warm hearted!

Although it had been a tough week where personally I would like to laze at home in the surrounding of an air conditioner, I have decided to meet up with Jess from Le Labo shop in the heat. With star street, it does brings some memories on work a few years ago but it seems the area has got a lot of new tennants in!
As you walked in you will find Le Labo in a very simple, metal tone with a cozy counter with a lot of bottles - just like the ones I use to see in my science labs back in the school days. I find Jess with a welcome smile, offering me some water, which I instantly accepted...........I am exhausted and dehydrated!

A little something about the brand, the brand established itself in New York by two scent designers who admired much of the Southern France culture. Their manifesto is to create something for the soul and all natural for the skin. All these are their creation to mend our soul!

Off the top of my list, is the urge to try Santal, there is such a huge calling over the internet on this scent. It is woody, it leathery, its smokey but it does hit a punge especially at the end of the day that smells something extraordinary. It is also unisex! On my tram ride home, I do find this scent amazing. Too bad I didnt get a bottle home but probably next to have on my list!

So in the midst of figue scented candle burning, I had been at the shop for around 3 hours.....I think, I did not stop to watch the clock but it seems a very long time. I had witnessed a lot of customers coming in to know more about the brand, to know more about the city exclusives as well as those who know exactly what they want and jumped in for a bottle.
For me, I am one of those doesn't really know what I want and I basically tried on every inch of my skin. I love santal, I love turbereuse and ultimately I decided on..........(you will know on the next post due on Wed!) Thank you to Jess who offered much patience on me.

Le Labo, it's scent range is not only in fragrances, it does offer a variety to body range, home fragrances, candles as well as oils. You will never get enough of their scents really! You can bring them home in many many ways! If you love it so much you would just like their entire range!

If you are looking for something for both the soul and heart, you will need to try this brand. It's metaphorical notes does have some healing capacity at the end of the day. I feel I am now energised for the start of another tough week.

Only if I could bring all these home........I think I will be so happy!

Just to reiterate, this is not a sponsored post. This is purely done out of personal interest, to meet with different brands and people. I did had a great experience over the entire time! I am grateful to Jess who had shared the most amazing meaning to life. Le Labo is all about feeling - its scenets gave us a sense of longing to the day! I love their creations, it can add so much meaning to life itself.
If you want to know what I splurge myself on, check out the next post on Wednesday!
This ends part one of this brand review for Le Labo!
