As Hongkongers, we always find it hard to find a comfortable environment just to rest our tired work life and to eat better for the soul and stomach!  By luck and chance, this ever first time walking into An Nam at Lee Garden, I had first chance tasting Vietnamese in a cosy environment.  The staff are graceful and nice.  I am always a Vietnamese fans, though was supporting another chain located at Times Square, but with a deterioration in food quality, it is just time to find another store for my stomach.

There menus offered a great variety of hot tea, lotus or lemongrass?  I prefer lemongrass seriously!  Very refreshing for the summer.  Since we are very much starved, we ordered rice and veggies.  The above is typical fried rice wrapped in lotus leaf.  It is very much delicious and oriental!

I particularly like this veggies dish with lotus shoots and greens.  There are no where I find that cook lotus roots like this.  Typical chinese like it in soup or dishes but they cut it in a different manner.  It is a tasty wake up call for this one!

For a second visit, we did find ourself situated in the inner room where there is a haste in ushing us to finish the meal for some reasons.  I tried to book myself in the third time, but the phone is just not available, when walking in they got a full house.  I did ask the staff on the unconnected phone, she said the line is too busy?  Not sure on this, but I luv the food, the service is soso.  Hopeing for a change next time.

Shoreditch was a suprise find in Kennedy Town after the Dreamcatcher event at HKU.  It is a cosy English bar environment, good for catching up and cooling down during the weekend.  Love their pasta and drink range.  I was too much enjoying the dinner date to take any photos but it is good one if you like English food once in a while.
