I am cold and curling due to the days of the month but I am still geared to post today. Winter, winter, lovely winter. I do prefer winter over summer as snuggling in bed in the cold is the best, in comparison to the over-sweaty summer with excessive sunscreen.......just a personal preference!
With winter, it came with other problems, my skin got too dry, my skin got way too sensitive! It is to an extreme is is overly red and constantly flaking.........and gals we all know flaking is not good because foundation or tinted moisturiser would not help. So while I was in panic a few weeks ago, my skin is a bit calmer these few days - what did I do?
You may tell I am a very lazy person. When girls might be doing paper masks daily or at least 3 times a week, I was doing none. As an emergency, I grab my calming essentials masks. I used them at least 2 times a week, that is my maximum, for deep penetration I used it in shower where I hope the steam would help to open the pores for the mask. It does calm a little, thought the redness does resurface a few hours later but not too bad!
I will do a little note on the names of the items plus the link to old posts, since I covered the individual products before, which I do not to bore you with the details!
I had recently reverted back to the Organi Cleanser & Toner as my old face wash seems making my skin worst. This feels like putting honey on your skin. I left it on damp skin for 3 mins before washing it off, it does calm a bit and tones as well.
Belif, the Korean brand, is also back on my ritual along with the Hungarian water essence - this is godsend, as it is purely water and it does not irritate my skin at all, I topped it up with my favourite true cream-moisturising bomb and voila!
With the flaking and reddness, I find only Tarte's Amazoninan Clay BB Tinted Moisturiser helped me. How? When you applied it to skin it gives a minty soothing touch which instantly make it so much better. Seems the amazonian clay is helping. As it is a tinted moisturiser it is a bit moisturising which helps to hide the flakes if there were any. I only use minimal setting powder so not to dry my skin.
Oh and I forgot to add Lucas Papaw in my photo mix today.......it saved my super flaked LIPS! I wear it under lipsticks now and especially at night. This ia a saviour!
I hope you like this product mix for my sensitive skin! Warm up if you are in the winter zone! Sunscreen for those in summer!
