    Fashion Exposure!

    December 1, 2014

Here we are last month of the year!  Are we excited?

I guess you can get a feeling in how excited I am? The music over shopping center, the different shopfront windows, all and all reminds you of Christmas!  I like how you are able to see different creativity in the shopwindow, how they work so hard to catch your attention.   I was only able to notice a couple of weeks ago that all Christmas lighting on building exterior area already up ---- this is only when I am ready to leave the office and decided to step near the window to take a look!

SLOW DOWN! and you will notice beautiful things around you!

As much as I would like to share with you my latest haul, my wishlist for Christmas I think it is much better to share the latest fashion exhibition in Central - Pier 4!  As it is gonna end soon, I would suggest you go and take a look now!

Pradasphere - a special exhibition exploring the universe of Prada
    November 19th – December 5th, 2014
    Central Ferry Pier 4, Central
    Hong Kong

    Monday – Saturday: 12pm - 7pm
    Sunday: 12pm - 6pm

I can strictly say last week was super busy, I need to choose between a career event and Prada - and of course I picked PRADA!  We had a special chance of a private tour where there is a Prada expert to explain how the brand evolve over time!

I am sure you will see the Pradasphere poster everywhere, not excluding the one hanged up on Pier 4, at the exhibition space.  The face, the cartoon figure is actually the latest design on the fall/winter series.

The exhibition are divided into different sections, from the origins, typologies, specimens, evolution and construction.  The origin of the brand started off to provide travel attire and equipment for those ultra high net worth who gets to travel around back in the old days.  While only the riches afford to travel, these attire and equipment are super luxurious back then.  The exhibition also covers how the brand provides service to the Royal Families and therefore how their logo evolve.

The remaining sections of the exhibitions including different fashion design items which some appeared in movies like The Great Gatsby.  (It is one of my favourite book back in school years ----american dreams?)  What I liked the most is how Prada experiment between, feminism and masculine, how it transfers some boyish concept into ladies fashion!  The brand also experiments between different fabric, wool, fur, sewing techniques, patterns and colour.  It is really an eyecatching moment.

Besides the bags and shoes, the brand also expresses its design concept in different medium like film, animation by having design showrooms in Korea which are scheduled to display different design themes in the long run.

For me, it may be exhausting to walk over to the pier and up the stairway to the show, but once you are there, it is a good escape from your ordinary life and kind of inspires to think how you could live beyond whoever you are at the end of the day........I can still have recollect different design ideas which closely matched to my old architectural days.............haha!

Otherthan the Pradasphere, I had the most exhausting week, entertaining friends from abroad, catching up friends to air out complaints from work and chores to the bank etc.  At the beginning of the week I would thought I should schedule as much as possible so I would not have time to think and winge..........but now I would like to rest rest and rest........and this is where the weekend is for!!!!

What is next? I think I am overdue for a November Haul that should be next upcoming one this week.  So watch out this space!  I hope you like this one!
