    Bookies: Beauty Bibles

    September 8, 2014

Dear all,  I hope those in Asia are excited with Mid-Autumn Festival, where most would enjoy mooncakes and the full moon tonight!  I got very serious migraine to a stage I wanted to give up posting but I think I should give a quick one on this two books by Paula Begoun who also started the famous website, Paula's Choice.

Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me

This is like a dictionary where it consists of most counter products you could find.  Obviously with new products added to stores daily, Paula actually keeps updated with new editions.  I had knew this book exist for a long time and only find time a few months ago to start reading and it does really help to manage my beauty cabinet for the moment.  Paula's book does indicate many skincare problems are actually caused by the skincare products who indicates can prevent specific skin problems.  One important point I learnt is that ingredients like camphor, methol, lemon, lime, eucalyptus, peppermint and alchohol can cause skin irritations.

    The Original Beauty Bible

This is another Paula's book which I would recommend, it does describes different skincare routines to keep up our skin.  It stresses the point there are no perfect skin, but it is something we all running after.

I would also recommend checking out her Paula's choice website when free.

Reading these books are my first step to restore my beauty routines, making sure there are no products with parabens etc.  It provides me with insights to what is best for me and my skin at this day and age.

    I hope you liked it.

    Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
