I hope you are enjoying the summer sun this week in HK, it is very hard to come by since we got very wet rainy weather for a few weeks in a row already. Believe it or not, this is my second try to re-write this piece as it somehow is gone from my screen - don't you hate it when you cannot save something and it is not stored in the draft box either......argh!
Anywho I hope this would be a more juicy blog piece for you! I do plan to start the beauty haul next and it will be published this week so keep a watch out on this space!
This will be my first fashion find post sharing my summer scarves with all of you. I am sure you will need one of these in Hong Kong. So summer time, we would like to wear sleveless tops and shorts for play and probably sleeveless and skirts for work. You will find extremely humid and hot on the streets of Hong Kong but whenever you stepped indoor whether is the bus, the taxi, the mtr or shopping centers and offices - you will get an extreme shot of freezing air conditioning. I would normally get headaches and colds from the extreme between hot and cold so I must carry with me a scarve if I do not have a jacket with me.
First I luv this Burberry scarf for its materal and its signature pattern. I would not normally splurge on something like this but this was my birthday gift from my boyfriend since I lost a winter scarf at work. So sweet!!!! So I have been cherishing this lovely scarf, it is well loved for work and play. It is wearable against any outfit and definitely my must have item. It is made of 50% virgin wool and 50% scarf. Anotherthing is, it is really made in Italy. I am not sure if you had a moment in getting luxury items and find out it is actually made in China by the time you get home.......I get extremely disappointed at these stages.......=(. I have this in my bag for most of the time just to keep me warm and fuzzy!
I would also like to share this scarf I got from Leigh & Luca - I luv their prints, their scarves. I first got this imported brand in HK because of its extremely soft material. I have never touched anything so soft and so thinly made - is like the best comfort in the world. I would normally not get anything in white for lazy reasons but this is on my exception list - I got this without much second thoughts and handed over my credit card. This print in white plus grey leopard prints is the best canvas - is not too strong a piece that would take too much attention away. This is made of 85% modal, 10% cashmere and 5% silk. I have a soft spot for cashmere and silk, no matter its a glove, scarf or a wool jumper. I really like quality cashmere and silk and this is just one must have item. I do kept my eye on any sale for this brand, I luv their prints and how they use these over 100 years old looms to create these lovely scarves. This is a must bring item if I am going to Thailand or Bali for a summer escape. Do check out this brand! They do come with a rectangular fabric with drawings on how you could best use their scarves and also indicating how much of the same print they had produced - so mine was the 5x out of 6xx piece. Bravo!
Ok so lately I have been withhelding myself from impulse buying, I do see a scarf I'd like the otherday and had not bring it home because I really need to give these babies some attention. I would also get some bright colours, average priced scarves for matching needs. This one in pink with colourful prints, I luv this with plain clothes - it just give you a lift in any dull moments. I am sure this is something made from China.
So please share with me your favourites if you have any.
