Hello ladies, time for a little favourite piece from me!
So I have gotta share my favourite lip balms with you all! Im sure you would expect Lucas' Papaw Ointment is up on my list of favs just because of its natural ingredients and I luv to use it as a base as well as overnight to keep my lips moisturised. It is not glossy or sticky. I keep it close by me near my desk so I could reapply as the day goes! I luv its red packaging. the 25g packaging does not enable a lip to lip application as you need to remove a tiny piece to open the tube, so there are rough edges which are not good for the lips - other than that I am happy to use just my fingers throug out the day!!!! I keep these stocked up from Sydney during my travel back or ask my mom to get them for me. They available at my sho as well linked here!
Smith's Rosebud Salve - I am sure these are also a fav amongst all girls! I first heard of it while I was still in highschool back in Sydney, I believe was while I was reading magazines. This was not as readily available back then plus not in as common in Sydney - I think I got it from little shop which does import little stuff from the US. I think it got a lot common in HK as a lot of famous artist/models used it and there are readily cheap offer from GroupOn etc. I just love its natural ingredients, the rosy transparent colour means you can use it everyday even on no make up days with a bit of rosy musk to it! The flavour kinda light you up during the day. I use to share it amongst my friends by getting the tin casing ones - I think its the most unique and traditional packaging which I luved it so much. Despite you need to use your hands, I just luv the product so much and keep on restocking them. I had also got the little tube - keep them handy in my purse for any occassion. But do you know when you use those tube where you can directly apply to your lips, overtime, it just not as clean since it accumulates your saliva overtime and kinda create an odour - if you know what I mean - so you would need to clean the applicator on and off.
Smith's Lip Balm - Minted Rose - I guess I was so much in luv with brand that I need to exhaust every flavour haha! Well, as you all might know I am very much into minty flavour lip balms/lip sticks so this is definite must have for those you luv MINT! I have been eyeing this for so long that I need to get it for keep sake. I like to take it along for holiday/work trips as the minty flavour wakes me up and keep me charged on!
Bobbi Brown Lip Balm with SPF 15 - I would not normally got these items from the make up counter but I do not regret getting this recommended by the stylist at Bobbi Brown. It is amazing for my dried flaked lips! When you apply it thick overnight it acts like a lip mask! The texture is a bit thick and hard to get some product during winter but overtime you will find it is a saviour for extreme dried days. The add on is this lip balm got SPF which you feel like adding extra protection. I just find I get spots on my lips over time so this extra protecture just make me feel extra secured.......especailly when I am relaxing in Thailand!
Nars Pure Sheer SPF Lip Treatment in Bianca - these are a little must have when I use Nars liptsticks which just glides on better in my much dried lips. The product is a bit thick and hard to apply at first, but overtime it just much easier to use. I keep using this during those days I wanted to use Nars lip stick or any other traditional coloured lip stick. Again it got SPF of 15.
Fresh Sugar Lip Balm in Berry and Original - I was very much curious on this brand and therefore I got this limited collection with a pack of 5. I luv the sugar ingredient and very much the flavour. It kinda depletes very fast as well over time, maybe the product is so good that you would keep reapply and reapply throughout the day. I would certainly say I am very much attracted to get gift packs over time than just one single lip balm given you can try different flavours and you feel better looking at these cute little tubes!
Body Shop - Aloe Lip Care - I got these because a vlog from Essie Button who highly recommended this product especially for dry flaky lips. I am not always a Body Shop brand but this is just perfect for me. It really does the work to remove the dead skin layer that you feel hovering on your lips like it is never going away, the product is thick and balmy - after a while after you applied the surface dead skin will go away leaving the nice pump fresh lips - is like you got brand new lips again! This is magic! It is something that always go out of stock - so if any ladies are interested please go to the shop fast and secure a "few". I got myself 3 in one go because I tried a few times to get this product and the shop assistant kept tell me is out of stock - and this is always when we feel the pain and just need to get the product asap!
Hope you like this sharing piece. Do let me know which are your favourites as well.
