Easter break - Ocean Park
April 23, 2014

So what have I done over Easter break? It just happens to be also my boyfriend's birthday and with HK, they offer freebies on the day of whoever's birthday a free ticket to Ocean Park!!!!
While I never been to Ocean Park before, not as a child or not with friends, so this is my first.
And while been touring the park area along with tourists, mainlanders and local, of course there were a lot of KIDS!!! I seem so out of place but it seems to be the perfect thing to do on Easter Saturday!
We have been at the park from 12 to 7:30pm, it was not a particular sunny day, but still with Hong Kong's humidity, I am the last person who wants to go out to play with the sun. Anywho, we stopped by to see the pandas (which were donated by China as a politcal gift), dolphins, monkeys and the seals........I am not a particular fan with animals but I do find them very cute. Especially the pandas, I would never imagine they are this lazy in the extreme to be surranded by bamboo, and eat eat eat until they wanna make a dump - they move out of the comfort zone. How many of us would like to be like them so free and so lazy.
I would expect more from the dolphin show, but I guess with animal rights etc......they are not suppose to train them with tricks like jumping hoops etc.....well this was not in the show!
Again, I like dolphins and seals, they are man's best friend.
So I had a great time on the ferris wheel and the whirly bird. And it just hit me that life is just like a theme park. You have different shows, different games going on, and it depends entirely on you on which you would wanna do. Being on the ferris wheel, you can see the view far far away, like the whole horizon is yours in the split second. Whirly bird, you fly up and down in speed, life just sometimes gushed at you in the same way.
Being someone with not too much theme park experience in my childhood, I will certainly say I luv heights, I luv speed, I luv how life challenges makes you wanna just stay in bed, or be who you are and fight the world......
So this is what I find in my hunt over Easter, no easter eggs, or easter bunnies just plain old life............

It is also available for sale on Society6
Happy Sharing.
