Hi all, sharing this great book by Gretchin Rubin which I find can help to make you and your friends happier! In reading this book, it had made me use my notebook to jot down all the good stuff and keep a list of new books I wanna read.
I would believe most of you like me, had an objective to do more exercise but probably never able to achieve them blaming too busy etc. The author has stressed a very importatnt point, that in order to make ourselves more happy, we need to boost our energy, make ourself healthy and then proceed to the mental side of happiness, like book reading, make new friends, learn new tricks.
The book has cleared some of the question marks I had on myself and I am relief to find other females experiencing the same dilema so I am not alone! I value highly on my career but as much as all the hardwork had put in, it somehow doesn't led to going where I wanted or getting the appreciation I earnt. So, when I found the next job I made a haste decision and realised it was not what I forsee and in turn I decided to rest and clear my thoughts before search for the next job. By mentioning my experience, the theory the book proposed the "true rule" where the first thing isn't always the right thing, fitted quite correctly to my situation. Should I not jump to the decision to quit? Hmmm I think of that quite a lot but to my timeframe I have delayed my resignation of the previous job for almost half a year and the longer I sit in the same job the longer it jeopardise my next move - so I guess eitherway it probably end up the same. I am grateful for my mom's support in my decision, there are minimal nagging and caring comments but I am sure shes concern out of love!
I luv my mom and I find shes a superwoman! We shared the best momemts in shopping for cashmere jumpers. She always have a very good eye in detail and material! Although the sad things is, the quality of today's clothing is not as good as before, with all fast fashion retail so.....thats the old days vs new modern days!
I have started this blog for about 3 months now and happy to share my interest to all! The book has confirmed that in starting a blog, is also one of the things making people happy! Oh I am relieved! Though I am quite diversified so my blog seems to be about all sorts of different things instead of just fashion or beauty.....I cannot choose or fix one thing!!! I love to write, doodle in my notebooks, keeping bits and pieces as memorabilia and will keep doing it as it makes me happy.
Shopping therapy, I find very useful when I was still earning an income but I find what I buy is often very similar and often I do not lack in the wardrobe or beauty cabinet - but it makes stress from work go away for a limited period of time until the next splurge. In starting this blog, it also comes with finding new products and buying them and trying them out......which leads to more shopping ahaha, as the author stresses we can use money to buy little happiness, not much, but minimal to satisfy the ego which will goes a long way!!!
As I had gone from employed to unemployed, I have spent a lot of time stuck at home wanting to save money everywhere and therefore reluctant to meet up with friends to keep them updated. As the book suggested, should keep friends at bay and be there when they need a friend......this would be one of the items I would work for next month and hope it will make me and my friends happier!
In summary, this book is good for physical and mental wellbeing. At any stages in life, we need happiness and we something got lost and this book can act as a guide or lamp post to guide us back to our route. Luv ourselves, luv our family and our friends!
